History of Youtituve

In 2005, three previous PayPal services Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim created a Youtituve. Hurley has an idea to create a website for sharing videos after being inspired by the website HotorNot which allows a user to upload videos and rate them based on attractiveness.  The name “YouTube “was created by Chen and Karim.

The first video that uploads on YouTube was “Me at the Zoo” which was made by Karim at the San Diego Zoo. This website quickly increased fame, with over 100 million videos watched every day on the side since October 2006.
